Q: Why should I use your service?

Good question. While nothing is as good as face-to-face interaction with a sex therapist, there are good reasons why you may prefer to use an online service such as ours:

1. You may have trouble finding a sex therapist in your local area, especially if you live in a remote part of the country, or if you live in a region where sexual freedom is severely curtailed.

2. You prefer the convenience of getting help in the comfort and privacy of your own home. You can attend to therapy on your own schedule.

3. You have access to one of the best sexologists in the world, a medical professional highly respected in his field. Dr. Frank Sommers is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a founder of a Nobel Peace Prize recipient organization.

4. Depending on your circumstances, our online service may be more affordable than the alternatives.

5. You may feel embarrassed to personally face a doctor or therapist. There is a sort of anonymity to using an online service.

One final note: many sex therapists advertise themselves on the Internet, but not a single one of them is set up to serve a global clientele. Only The Good Sex Network has international reach.

Q: Why do I get an error accessing some videos?

It is not uncommon to experience the occasional “networking glitch.” That’s simply the nature of computers and the Internet. If you get an error while trying to view a video, simply try again. Close the video window and open it again. If the problem persists, please notify us through the Contact Us page.

Q: Why can't I view web presentations in the Opera browser?

Answer: For whatever reason, Google has chosen not to support the Opera browser for its Google Docs services. I suspect it’s because of Opera’s tiny market share and therefore Google couldn’t be bothered to support it (in other words, they’re too lazy). For web presentations, we recommend using the Firefox or Safari browser.

Q: Why does the QuickTime plugin fail to initialize in IE7?

Answer: There is a known problem with Internet Explorer 7 under Windows Vista whereby if you try switching video resolutions (from 320×240 to 640×480, or vice versa) the video plugin may fail to initialize and you can’t watch the video. The workaround is to close IE7 and start it again. Our recommended solution is to stop using IE7 and switch to Firefox.

Q: Why does my PC (with Linksys wireless connection) crash when I play your videos?

Answer: There is a known problem with PCs running Windows Vista and the Linksys WUSB54G Version 4 wireless adapter.
