Q: Why do I get an error accessing some videos?

It is not uncommon to experience the occasional “networking glitch.” That’s simply the nature of computers and the Internet. If you get an error while trying to view a video, simply try again. Close the video window and open it again. If the problem persists, please notify us through the Contact Us page.

Q: Why can’t I view web presentations in the Opera browser?

Answer: For whatever reason, Google has chosen not to support the Opera browser for its Google Docs services. I suspect it’s because of Opera’s tiny market share and therefore Google couldn’t be bothered to support it (in other words, they’re too lazy). For web presentations, we recommend using the Firefox or Safari browser.

Q: Why does the QuickTime plugin fail to initialize in IE7?

Answer: There is a known problem with Internet Explorer 7 under Windows Vista whereby if you try switching video resolutions (from 320×240 to 640×480, or vice versa) the video plugin may fail to initialize and you can’t watch the video. The workaround is to close IE7 and start it again. Our recommended solution is to stop using IE7 and switch to Firefox.

Q: Why does my PC (with Linksys wireless connection) crash when I play your videos?

Answer: There is a known problem with PCs running Windows Vista and the Linksys WUSB54G Version 4 wireless adapter. It will cause your PC to crash and exhibit the infamous “Blue Screen of Death.” Our recommended solution is to go to the Linksys support website, download and install the generic Windows driver for this adapter.
